UnidosUS to Host Community Listening Session in Rochester to Elevate Latino Voices on Immigration and Economic Challenges

ROCHESTER, NEW YORK- UnidosUS, the nation’s largest Latino civil rights and advocacy organization and its Affiliate, the Ibero American Action League, will host a listening session with Latino community leaders and advocates in Rochester, NY. The conversation will explore how harmful immigration policies intersect with the economic pressures facing Latino families, including rising housing costs, wage insecurity and the overall cost of living. These are top concerns highlighted in an UnidosUS poll, and the discussion will provide a local perspective on how these issues are affecting Rochester families while informing the organization’s policy and advocacy efforts.
The listening session discussion will be closed to the press, but participants will be available after the session for media interviews.
