Latino/Hispanic Heritage Celebration Featuring Los Del Mambo!

Rochester, NY — Grupo Cultural Latinos En Rochester (GCLER) invites the public to a vibrant celebration of Latino and Hispanic heritage, featuring Los Del Mambo, a dynamic dance group that brings rhythm, culture, and joy to Western New York’s immigrant and minority communities.

This free, family-friendly event will include:

• Dance Showcase Extravaganza

• Live DJ Music

• Interactive Fun for All Ages

• Latin Food Samples to savor the flavors of the Caribbean and Latin America


As part of Project Carnaval, the event will highlight the Vejigante Carnaval Mask from Puerto Rico, a powerful symbol of Afro-Caribbean heritage and resistance. This artistic feature connects attendees to the rich traditions of Puerto Rican carnival and its vibrant storytelling.

About Los Del Mambo

Los Del Mambo is a year-round free program hosted at the David F. Gantt Recreation Center. It offers weekly dance classes, public performances, and cultural showcases that uplift and engage immigrant and minority communities across Western New York.


Funding & Support

This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of The Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, administered by the Genesee Valley Council on the Arts.


Additional funding is provided by the City of Rochester through the ArtsBloom grant, a program of the City’s Percent for Art initiative.
