What:The RCSD will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a reception and awards program recognizing students for academic excellence, leadership, and community service.

Details:This celebration will honor students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, service, and leadership. Awards to be presented include the Roberto Clemente Award, Youth Volunteer Award, and Community Service Award. This year’s theme, “Collective Heritage: Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future,” celebrates the rich history and accomplishments of Hispanic, Latino, and Latinx individuals who continue to shape our world. Hispanic Heritage Month, first celebrated by Congress in 1968 and expanded in 1989, recognizes the enduring contributions of Hispanic Americans and their influence on our nation’s culture, education, and civic life.
