ROCHESTER, NY — United and Healing Through Hope of Monroe County, in partnership with Savage Life Promotions, announces the return of championship boxing to Blue Cross Arena. The upcoming Boxing Extravaganza marks the first major professional boxing event in Rochester in decades, celebrating the city’s rich boxing legacy while promoting a message of discipline, opportunity, and community unity.

The event will highlight Rochester’s historic role as one of America’s premier fight cities, having produced world champions such as Carmen Basilio and hosted legendary fighters including Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, Sugar Ray Leonard, Oscar De La Hoya, Marvelous Marvin Hagler, and Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini.

In addition to the competition, the event supports important community initiatives including Stop the Senseless Violence, Cancer Awareness, and Autism Awareness. Special ticket opportunities will be made available to victims of violence, cancer survivors, individuals and families impacted by autism, first responders, senior citizens, and members of the faith community.

This event represents a renewed commitment to providing positive outlets for youth and strengthening the community through sport, discipline, and shared purpose.

“Rochester has always been a fighting city, but the true lesson of boxing is discipline and self-control. We want young people to see that strength isn’t found in violence on the streets — it’s found in character, training, and respect for others.” — Clay Harris
