There are many ministries in the city of Rochester that focus in spreading the Gospel but the ministry “Still Remains Power” sets itself apart working with the Christian believers and also the local community.
 
The ministry flourished from the work of Rev. Jorge Morales, pastor of the Second God Works Pentecostal Church, located at 395 Emerson Street. Rev. Jorge Morales is a new pastor with three years of experience but with the desire to serve God’s purpose and the community.
The ministry “Still Remains Power” is the work of Evangelist Miguel Lebron and his wife Mairy Lebron, who is also a preacher and a youth bible teacher with her husband at their local church.

The mission of the ministry is to motivate people to use their natural talents and put them to work for the benefit of others to shape a better community. “Our focus was to create and develop a ministry that uses the resources within ourselves, we didn’t want to be just another person with a talent that its going to waste but somebody productive that uses their natural abilities and transform them into something that brings change physically, mentally and spiritually,” said Miguel, who likes to think of himself as a motivational speaker rather than a preacher.
 
Their work started a year and a half ago when they started working with the youth. With the help of Noemi Ortiz, who runs an after school program at Franklin High School, they were able to start facilitating discussions to empower the young minds. Mairy shared, “ We want to encourage the youth to be better, to let them know that their past does not determine their future. That regardless of their background and what their families have done with their lives they can accomplish great things and be somebody in society.”
They have also been able to work with students from Monroe High School with the help of the Hillside program.

On August 19th the inauguration of their ministry took place with a special service under the theme “Night of Power.” They have many plans for the future, one of them to make Night of Power an annual event and also be able to go to Puerto Rico to preach. Their main concern is to brake the barriers between denominations, “I believe its time to unite the body of Christ in a movement that changes lives,” said Lebron.

Un Ministerio Motivacional que Todavía Tiene Poder

Hay muchos ministerios en la ciudad de Rochester que se enfocan en la difusión del Evangelio pero el ministerio “Todavía Queda Poder” se distingue de los demás trabajando con creyentes Cristianos y también con la comunidad local.

El ministerio floreció del trabajo del Rev. Jorge Morales, pastor de la Segunda Obra de Dios Pentecostal, localizada en la 395 Emerson Street. El Rev. Jorge Morales es un pastor nuevo con tres años de experiencia, pero con el deseo de servir el propósito de Dios y la comunidad.

El ministerio “Todavía Queda Poder” es el trabajo del Evangelista Miguel Lebrón y su esposa Mairy Lebrón, que también es predicadora y maestra de jóvenes en la escuela bíblica, junto con su esposo en su iglesia local.

La misión del ministerio es la de motivar a la gente a utilizar sus talentos naturales y ponerlos a trabajar para el beneficio de los demás para dar forma a una comunidad mejor. “Nuestro objetivo era crear y desarrollar un ministerio que utilizara los recursos dentro de nosotros mismos, no queríamos ser otra persona con talentos que se pierde, si no alguien productivo que usa sus habilidades naturales y las transforma en algo que trae cambio físico, mental y espiritual,” dijo Miguel, que le gusta pensar de sí mismo como un orador motivacional en lugar de un predicador.

Su trabajo comenzó hace un año y medio atrás cuando comenzaron a trabajar con la juventud. Con la ayuda de Noemí Ortiz, que dirige un programa después de clases en la Franklin High School, ellos fueron capaces de empezar a facilitar pláticas para capacitar las mentes jóvenes. Mairy compartió, “queremos animar a los jóvenes a ser mejores, dejarles saber que su pasado no determina su futuro. Que, independientemente de sus antecedentes y lo que sus familias han hecho con sus vidas, ellos pueden lograr grandes cosas y ser alguien en la sociedad."

También han sido capaces de trabajar con los estudiantes de la Monroe High School con la ayuda del programa de Hillside.

La inauguración de su ministerio se llevó a cabo el 19 de agosto con un servicio especial con el tema "Noche de Poder." Ellos tienen muchos planes para el futuro, uno de ellos hacer la Noche de Poder un evento anual y también ir a Puerto Rico a predicar. Su mayor preocupación es poder romper las barreras entre denominaciones, “yo pienso que es tiempo de unir el cuerpo de Cristo en un movimiento que cambie vidas,” dijo Lebrón.

Ellos tienen un evento el 2 de diciembre bajo el tema "Haciendo Frente al Desafío de Dios."
