Latino to Watch - Paul Ferranti

Paul Ferranti is the owner of Peloton Martial Arts Center/USA Jiu Jitsu. He is a Black belt 1st degree in Jiu Jitsu and head instructor in Peloton Martial Arts. He holds the highest degree in Jiu Jitsu in this area.  Paul speaks several languages including Spanish and Portuguese. His academy is known for being one of the first ones to start teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and for bringing international champions to do workshops.

Tell me about your background (ancestry, family, studies…)
I was born in Lima, Peru.  My mother is Peruvian and my father is Italian-American.  I am also proud of my grandparents’ origin from my father’s side they came from Italy and England. At the age of 16 my family and I moved from Lima, Peru to Brockport NY, where I lived and went to school and college. Now I live in Spencerport, NY with my wife Tracy and my two kids; Dominic and Isabella.
